Ths will be good.
An Irish champion Stakes winner, a Champion Stakes winner and a Derby winner take each other on over a 1m2f in the this today.

Luxemburg on his way out for the Tattersalls Gold Cup
Aidan O’Brien has done some job on Luxemburg. He ran third in the 2000 Guineas last year to Coprebus and Native Trail, a result that propelled him to 7/4 favourite for the Derby last year.
It was later revealed he’d suffered a muscular injury that required six weeks box rest. The Derby was off and an autumn campaign became the plan. He came back to win the Royal Whip (when very much in need of the run) and followed up in the Irish Champion Stakes. The Arc possibly came too soon for him, he did stay on when bumped 1 1/2f out but he was well beaten. He suffered another defeat in the Mooresbridge Stakes on seasonal debut when fifth, then came on a ton to beat Bay Bridge over this trip in Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh winning a ½L.
Luxemburg beating Bay Bridge at the Curragh
Charlie Appleby has also done a wonderful job with Adayar, winner of the Derby and King George in 2021, he also suffered a setback last year and like Luxemburg was restricted to an autumn campaign. A prep run prior to the Champion Stakes showed his well-being but at Ascot he went down a ½L to Bay Bridge. His comeback this year was triumphant, he comfortably beat Anmaat 2½L in the Gordon Richards, form since upgraded with Anmaat taking the Prix d’Ispahan next time out.
My Prospero was only ½L behind Bay Bridge and a nose behind Adayar when third in the Champion Stakes last year. His comeback this year in the Lockinge Stakes over 1m was satisfactory when fourth beaten 2¾L by Modern Games.
Mostahdaf looked quality in Riyadh winning the Neom Turf Cup by 7L. In Dubai, he was no match for Equinox going down the same margin in the Sheema Classic over 1m4f. In fairness to him, no other horse in the world could have coped with the Japanese superstar that day and it’s better to judge him on the 3½L behind Westover who finished second.
The American horse, Classic Causeway won the Belmont Derby last year however it wasn’t the strongest event and he’s been beaten in seven subsequent runs.
This will be good, real good. Adayer is back to his best. Bay Bridge will improve again. My Prospero and Mostahdaf will both come on however Luxemburg was always holding Bay Bridge at the Curragh so it’s no surprise the money has come for him this morning. The 9/4 is gone, he’s now 7/4f and is still worth backing.
Recommendation
Luxemburg 7/4 win
